God gave me a purpose for moving
As I have been preparing for my move to Knob Noster, MO, to live close to my daughter, God gave me His reason for my being there. At first it was just a natural desire to be close to her and her husband and my grandkids, but I began to question whether that was God’s will. What is God’s purpose for me while living there? That should be the most important reason for moving.
With my research, I learned that the average age of the population was 27. That’s because the numbers include those living on Whiteman Air Force Base and off base in Knob Noster. I had thought about trying to find a part time civilian job on base.
Months later God impressed on my mind that my ministry is to the military. Then my move all began to make sense. That is my calling.
God can use me no matter where I live. But now I know for sure what He wants me to do. It may not be a paid position on base. It could be a matter of mentoring young military families in my church or neighborhood. And I can help my own military family, with my son-in-law being an airman.
I feel so much better knowing why I am moving there.
Thank you, Jesus, for speaking to me through your Holy Spirit.
