You Will Spring Forth

My husband does not give up on his plants. Needless to say, his plant in the picture above has seen better days. Believe it or not, it was a flourishing plant but winter came and it lost some leaves. The real culprit was our cat, who snuck into our bedroom on several occasions and thought it tasted delightful.

I’ve seen this happen with people. They will be full of life and blooming in all kinds of ways. They are happy go lucky with no cares in the world. Not following Jesus.

Then tragedy comes. Grief, financial ruin, your spouse files for divorce, your health takes a nose dive.

God has your attention.

This is a crucial time. You may cry out to God for help. Or you yell at God, blaming him for your situation, and become angry and bitter.

God may be pruning you to be like a well-watered garden, a tree by the stream. He is wooing you to turn to Him for answers and peace. He will work things out for your good. Seek Him, get to know Him. He is the God of the universe, your Creator and He is capable of all things. Nothing is impossible for Him. Have faith in Him, trust in Him. Give your life to Him, confess your sins and believe His son, Jesus Christ, died for you. You will be changed forever and you will lead a new life.

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11 NIV

whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. (‭‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬‬:‭2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬)
