As I am putting together a jigsaw puzzle, there are pieces missing to make an oar in a lake scene.

I feel the same way about my life. I may feel out of place or puzzled in my journey. I know I’m going the right way, but I don’t know how it’s all going to come together. It seems like life is just one piece tied into another until there’s some sense to it.

At first I’m just sorting it all out. If you’ve never put together a 1000 piece puzzle, it may take some boldness and courage to start. We may have to wander a while following old patterns of solving our own problems. We’ll put the same colors together or put pieces in groups, such as sand, trees, mountains or sky. We’re no where close to figuring this out. We’ve done this before, so maybe it will work again. Then we decide to ask for God’s help. If we let God handle it, we can have faith He will piece it together. It only takes faith as small as a mustard seed for God to work.

We don’t know exactly which piece goes with what, but God knows. Things don’t make sense until the picture is complete. Then we can look over the whole picture, and see how God lead us one piece at a time.

It’s easier as you go along, you can begin to see progress and the final product. Your faith takes hold and you are on your way to the final destination. Now you know where God is leading you. At the end of the road, you can look over what’s been done and reap the rewards of your hard work. God makes us glow in the dark!
