Scrolling Through Time

At first I was looking at my calendar on the phone for February. I was thinking about my sister’s birthday at the end of the month. Then I switched it to a view of the entire year. I was thinking about how good it would feel to lose weight before summer. I was curious how many years of calendars were on my phone and continued to scroll until I reached 2034, ten years from now. I’ll be 80 and those 10 years will fly by.

Since God is the beginning and the end, the passage of time is like the scrolling of year after year within a few seconds to Him. His timeframe is not the same as ours. What seems like forever waiting on God for answers to prayer, is a blip on God’s timespan. Our lives are so short as compared to eternity.

When you give your life to Christ, eternity begins. You can declare, “Today is the beginning of eternity.” God promises you the benefits of heavenly blessings when you are saved. One of the blessings is you have unlimited access to God through prayer. You can “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16) You are promised a home in heaven when you die and God will prepare you for the day you meet Christ. It will be here before you know it. Prepare ye the way of the Lord!
